“Pusher”

     I have been evolving this story since it’s conception in one of my first creative writing classes in 2009. A delicately researched Historical Fiction novel which takes place between the 1930‘s and early 1950‘s. Bound to Green Valley, Arizona by his father’s watchful eyes and social scrutiny, Dean Miller demands control of his own life. When Pearl Harbor brings America into WWII Dean’s father, Sheriff Irving Miller is called to arms at Hamilton Air Force Base in San Francisco. In order to restore the loving vibrance his family always deserved, Dean must bear witness to his father’s true disposition as well as brave the path of love for himself. In his seclusion, Dean must persevere all of his doubt and mistrust in order to keep hope. Jazz, whisky and war permeates the streets. Beat San Francisco has never looked this grim. My first attempt at novel writing and I’m not taking it lightly.
